Original Beans has once again been ranked the world's most sustainable chocolate producer by the independent #ChocolateScorecard2024. They have been awarded the "Good Egg 2024". 

Original Beans is the only company with six green eggs in all six assessment categories. 

Chocolate Foodprint

We need to shift our focus from discussing our intentions and aspirations to evaluating the actual impact our business has on the environment. 

Original Beans provides us with an annual report called 'Chocolate Foodprint' that contains factual data and statistics about our impact, which we can use to assess and improve our sustainability efforts.

Here is a summary of what was accomplished in 2023 as a result of choosing to buy Bean and Goose chocolate.

We purchased 12 tonnes of couverture and regrew six rare cacao varieties. 

Our cacao beans were 100% single variety and organic.

Our farmers received a living income. 

We grew 16,733 trees in the origin region and drew down 61.5 tonnes of CO2.

All of this means that we are achieving our goal of taking back the inherent joy in chocolate.

This means that you can enjoy, share, and gift the most beautiful and thoughtful chocolate around, safe in the knowledge that we are making the right choices on your behalf.
